In August, I moved to Binghamton (First Ward) joining my husband, who moved here in July for a new job. I've been trying to get used to it here, and frankly, I've failed. So far.
What are some things that I can check out for fun and for meeting new people around here? I've been to First Night (back in September), to the Cyber Cafe and to the Lost Dog Cafe, and would like to find more such places/event (arty/independent), but at this point I'll take *almost* anything.
We moved from Saratoga Springs, where you couldn't walk down the street without hearing music. I miss the music...

Looking for Sublet I need to move out of my apartment Immediately and am looking for a sublet from novemberdecember till end of may. For the size and location of the apartment the rent (375) is pretty good and utilities have been up to this point less than 30 dollars a month (for electricity and gas).
The apartment comes furnished. Kitchen with a kitchen table, 4 chairs, fridge, oven and a set of pans. There is a living room off the kitchen with two tables, desk, couch, chair, rug, lamp and a book case type thing. The bathroom is also off the kitchen. Then there is a small hall way that leads into the bedroom which come with a desk, dresser, rug and queen size bed. Off the bedroom is a small walk in closet.
The apartment is rented from John Hills who is pretty good at keeping up with maintance. We can also work something out if you cannot move in at the months listed above.
